About the site
The name. Well, it took me eons to find a suitable name for my blog. I wanted it to be epic! Sadly, I gave up and settled for the name, Aizelnuts. It's a play on words :) I mixed my name, "Aizel", (Pronounced ey-zull or azel as in "hazel") with the word "Hazelnuts", and BAM! A somewhat clever name for my personal blog! Yay! Actually, I was inspired by a Trip-to-Spain collegue who gave me the nickname "Hazelnuts".
The layout. Applause! It's the third version of Aizelnuts! This features the anime/manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. This is the simplest layout I've ever made in my life -which makes it all the more charming, no?- I've used pastel-ish colours this time, which gives it the peaceful wintery feel. I really love this layout and it shall commemorate Aizelnuts' first winter! This was actually my third try, however I prefer this one over the other two I made.
Past Layouts
Version 1. (No screenshot available)
This layout features the two main bishies from the anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
I've grown quite fond of that series so I decided to make a layout out of it.
The layout remains untitled however, mostly because I was too lazy to name it and also, it was hard coming up with cool titles with this puny brain of mine.
(No offense brain!) I actually like how well the textures and brushes go together~ I was going for this kind of vintage/ distorted blend.
I'm pleased with the way it came out. A great start for my blog!
Version 2.
This is the second version of Aizelnuts. The current layout features Teru Mikami from the anime/manga Death Note (You can see Light and Ryuk on the background as well). It's pretty simplistic, not like some of my other layouts. That's probably why I love it so much! Even though I didn't use a lot of brushes, I worked so hard on editing the image >.< It took so long. At least my hard work paid off. I'm very pleased with the result. I chose the colour red because, well, it's my favourite colour but also because it gives such a heavy atmosphere to the layout, which is what I invisioned.
